Dua Tawasol

اللّٰهُمَّ إِنِّى أَسْأَلُکَ وَأَتَوَجَّهُ إِلَیْکَ بِنَبِیِّکَ نَبِیِّ الرَّحْمَةِ مُحَمَّدٍ صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِ وَآلِهِ، یَا أَبَا الْقاسِمِ، یَا رَسُولَ اللّٰهِ، یَا إِمامَ الرَّحْمَةِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلَانَا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حَاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Allah, I ask You and turn towards You through Your Prophet, the Prophet of Mercy, Muhammad (may Allah’s blessings be upon him and his family). O Abal-Qasim, O Messenger of Allah, O Leader of Mercy, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ، یَا أَمِیرَ الْمُؤْمِنِینَ، یَا عَلِىَّ بْنَ أَبِى طالِبٍ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Abal-Hasan, O Commander of the Faithful, O Ali ibn Abi Talib, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یا فاطِمَةُ الزَّهْراءُ، یَا بِنْتَ مُحَمَّدٍ، یَا قُرَّةَ عَیْنِ الرَّسُولِ، یَا سَیِّدَتَنا وَمَوْلاتَنا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکِ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکِ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهَةً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعِی لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Fatimah al-Zahra, O beloved daughter of Muhammad, O comfort of the Prophet’s eye, O our Lady and Mistress. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبا مُحَمَّدٍ، یَا حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ، أَیُّهَا الْمُجْتَبىٰ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Aba Muhammad, O Hasan ibn Ali, O the Chosen One, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبا عَبْدِاللّٰهِ، یَا حُسَیْنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ، أَیُّهَا الشَّهِیدُ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ، اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Aba ‘Abdillah, O Husayn ibn Ali, O the Martyr, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یا اَبَا الْحَسَنِ، یا عَلِىَّ بْنَ الْحُسَیْنِ، یَا زَیْنَ الْعابِدِینَ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Abal-Hasan, O Ali ibn al-Husayn, O Ornament of the Worshippers, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبا جَعْفَرٍ، یَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ، أَیُّهَا الْباقِرُ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حَاجَاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Aba Ja’far, O Muhammad ibn Ali, O al-Baqir, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبا عَبْدِ اللّٰهِ، یَا جَعْفَرَ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَیُّهَا الصَّادِقُ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانَا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Aba ‘Abdillah, O Ja’far ibn Muhammad, O al-Sadiq, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ، یَا مُوسَى بْنَ جَعْفَرٍ، أَیُّهَا الْکاظِمُ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانَا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حَاجَاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Abal-Hasan, O Musa ibn Ja’far, O al-Kazim, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ یَا عَلِىَّ بْنَ مُوسىٰ، أَیُّهَا الرِّضا، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حَاجَاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Abal-Hasan, O Ali ibn Musa, O al-Ridha, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبا جَعْفَرٍ یَا مُحَمَّدَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ، أَیُّهَا التَّقِىُّ الْجَوادُ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانَا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حَاجَاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Aba Ja’far, O Muhammad ibn Ali, O al-Taqi al-Jawad, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبَا الْحَسَنِ، یَا عَلِىَّ بْنَ مُحَمَّدٍ، أَیُّهَا الْهادِى النَّقِىُّ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا أَبا مُحَمَّدٍ، یَا حَسَنَ بْنَ عَلِیٍّ أَیُّهَا الزَّکِىُّ الْعَسْکَرِىُّ ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ؛

O Aba Muhammad, O Hasan ibn Ali, O pure-hearted al-‘Askari, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

یَا وَصِىَّ الْحَسَنِ، وَالْخَلَفَ الْحُجَّةُ، أَیُّهَا الْقائِمُ الْمُنْتَظَرُ الْمَهْدِىُّ، یَا ابْنَ رَسُولِ اللّٰهِ، یَا حُجَّةَ اللّٰهِ عَلىٰ خَلْقِهِ، یَا سَیِّدَنا وَمَوْلانا إِنَّا تَوَجَّهْنا وَاسْتَشْفَعْنا وَتَوَسَّلْنا بِکَ إِلَى اللّٰهِ وَقَدَّمْناکَ بَیْنَ یَدَیْ حاجاتِنا، یَا وَجِیهاً عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ اشْفَعْ لَنا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ.

O Successor of Hasan, O Rightful Legacy, O Steadfast and Hoped-for One, O Mahdi, O son of the Messenger of Allah, O Proof of Allah upon His creation, O our Master and Patron. We turn towards you, seek your intercession, and resort to you towards Allah, and we place you before our needs. O honored one before Allah, intercede for us before Allah.

After reciting this supplication, one should ask for their needs, which will be fulfilled by the will of Allah.

And in another narration, it has been reported that after reciting the supplication, one should say the following:

یَا سادَتِى وَمَوالِىَّ، إِنِّى تَوَجَّهْتُ بِکُمْ أَئِمَّتِى وَعُدَّتِى لِیَوْمِ فَقْرِى وَحاجَتِى إِلَى اللّٰهِ، وَتَوَسَّلْتُ بِکُمْ إِلَى اللّٰهِ، وَاسْتَشْفَعْتُ بِکُمْ إِلَى اللّٰهِ، فَاشْفَعُوا لِى عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ، وَاسْتَنْقِذُونِى مِنْ ذُنُوبِى عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ، فَإِنَّکُمْ وَسِیلَتِى إِلَى اللّٰهِ، وَبِحُبِّکُمْ وَبِقُرْبِکُمْ أَرْجُو نَجاةً مِنَ اللّٰهِ، فَکُونُوا عِنْدَ اللّٰهِ رَجائِى، یَا سادَتِى یَا أَوْلِیاءَ اللّٰهِ، صَلَّى اللّٰهُ عَلَیْهِمْ أَجْمَعِینَ، وَلَعَنَ اللّٰهُ أَعْداءَ اللّٰهِ ظالِمِیهِمْ مِنَ الْأَوَّلِینَ وَالْآخِرِینَ، آمِینَ رَبَّ الْعالَمِینَ.

O my masters and patrons, I have turned to you, my Imams and my provision for the day of my poverty and need, towards Allah. I have sought proximity to Allah through you, and I seek your intercession with Allah. So intercede for me with Allah, and save me from my sins before Allah. For indeed, you are my means to Allah, and through love for you and nearness to you, I hope for salvation from Allah. So be my hope before Allah. O my masters, O friends of Allah. O Allah, send blessings upon all of them, and may the curse of Allah be upon the enemies of Allah, those who oppressed them from the first to the last. Amen, O Lord of the worlds.
