Al-Zahra School
About: The Al-Khoei Foundation is the proprietor of Al-Zahra School.
Founded in 1989 by the late spiritual leader of Shia Muslims, His Eminence Grand Ayatollah Sayed Abulqasim Al-Khoei, this international, non-profit organisation seeks to address the welfare of Muslim communities, and in particular Shia Muslims, around the world. Its fundamental aim is to promote education, intra- and interfaith dialogue, enhance the understanding of Islam and encourage citizen empowerment and community development. It has also held a general consultative status at the UN ECOSOC since 1998.
Against the backdrop of this far-reaching vision, Al-Zahra School first opened their doors in 1991 and were subsequently registered as Al-Zahra School.
The school is named after distinguished Islamic personality: Sayeda Fatima Al-Zahra (daughter of Prophet Muhammad).
The Al-Khoei Foundation has founded similar educational establishments across the world, including the USA, Canada, Thailand and Pakistan.
Inspections
Al-Zahra Schools has been accredited as a member of the Independent School Association (ISA). Consequently, we qualified to be inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI), a regulatory body for independent schools. ISI apply the same rigorous inspection quality framework as Ofsted, to which end a similar report, grading and recommendations are made.
