About:
The Hussaini Centre for Research was established in London in 1993 (1414 AH) by Ayatollah Sheikh Mohammad Sadiq Mohammad Al-Karbassi. The Centre offers the following programs:
• Doa Nudbah: Every Friday from 9:30 to 11:00 am, followed by breakfast.
• Quran Lecture: Every Tuesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm.
• Religious Events: Held on the birth or martyrdom anniversaries of the Holy Prophet (Peace Be Upon Him) and the Ahlul Bayt (Peace Be Upon Them).
The Centre includes a hall for general gatherings, as well as rooms dedicated to studying, researching, and translating texts. It attracts numerous students who benefit from its expanding private library, which houses over 32,000 titles. The collection specializes in various scholarly perspectives across multiple sciences and includes texts and archives in several languages.
The Hussaini Centre’s most significant achievement is the production of the Hussaini Encyclopedia. This monumental work comprises more than 1,000 handwritten drafts and over 130 published volumes to date. The encyclopedia focuses on the life and legacy of Imam Hussain (Peace Be Upon Him), exploring every aspect connected to him. It stands as a comprehensive resource on Imam Hussain and related topics, making it a cornerstone of the Centre’s contributions to Islamic scholarship.
